Now that I see Sig is selling Virtus upper receivers I was curious in two things. 1) can the virtus upper be used with a legacy barrel? I know the bolts are different. 2) Will the virtus upper fit the legacy MCX (non-hybrid) lower? Seems like the price is silly but not ...The SCR lower does not look like it can accommodate said adapter. When you throw the MCX upper on a standard AR 15 lower that whole area where the recoil assembly slides into the receiver is completely exposed and open, so if you have something that would fit over that and keep it inside then it would work, otherwise It will fly out.
